This photo was taken on one of the clearest nights I've seen and at one of the least light polluted spots I've been in the few years I've been doing this. And I mean it was one of those night's you could see all the detail of the galaxy with the naked eye after sitting there for a while with all my lights turned off and that means no phone for like a half hour (hard to do I know) lol not that it worked very well out here anyway. This is pretty much as shot, I did not do much in post , I actually tried the long exposure NR in camera and the high iso NR in camera on the Canon 6D and I think it really helped in this instance. I never would have tried it until reading and participating in some discussions on the long exposure fb groups. But I decided after shooting my two and a half hour time-lapse, I wanted to try it out. For those that don't know it would not help with a time-lapse because it takes as much time as the exposure was to process it in camera. I like to have my time-lapse fra...
